Château Laujac 2020 hails from the Left Bank of Bordeaux, where Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot thrive in gravelly Médoc soils. This vintage delivers the classic structure and character of the appellation — generous aromas of blackberry, cassis and violet lead into a palate layered with dark fruits, cedar, and subtle spice. The tannins are firm yet polished, giving the wine a bold framework without sacrificing balance or freshness.
Aged partly in French oak, this Médoc shows both approachability and depth, making it enjoyable now with decanting, yet capable of graceful evolution over the next decade. Critics praise its “broad shoulders and chewy tannins,” along with its ripe black fruit and liquorice notes. A superb partner for roast lamb, venison, or mature cheeses — a fine example of modern Médoc craftsmanship at outstanding value.
