HOT ! Great Value｜ Other Products ｜Korg SE-500 Stage Echo

Superb, rare tape echo with Sound On Sound and CV Control. One of our favourite tape echoes for sure.
We often have the SE-300 available as well - please ask if you don't see one in the Tape Echoes section.
The Korg Stage Echoes aren't as well-known as the Roland Space Echo, but the quality is every bit as good and they are up there with our favourite tape delays for both sound and functionality. Both models have great-sounding preamps, and the SE-500 in particular is an uncommon and extremely interesting piece of equipment. They don't come round very often so if you are interested don't hang around.
We're tape and disc echo specialists with many years' experience working with and restoring these machines. Our BBC-trained engineer brings our tape delays up to (or better than) factory spec and our testing ensures machines that have superb reliability and - most important - that they sound incredible. We guarantee our tape echoes will not disappoint.
For sale in excellent working order. Back from a full service by our highly experienced tape echo tech, followed by soak-testing by us.
Condition is very good overall. It has a few minor signs of age - a scuffed knob, some surface oxidation of the XLR sockets (does not affect use at all), minor scuffs to the case, and low level ageing on the interior. Internal surfaces are clean with minor signs of age. See photos for more information on cosmetic condition.
The heads are in good condition.

100v Japanese model - it will run fine on North American mains 115/120v without a transformer (we run all our tests using 120v power); however, a step-down transformer is recommended for extended use.

A step-down transformer is required in the UK/EU.

We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers and can supply a high quality UK-made unit if required.

(Please note: it is always possible with vintage equipment that some crackly pots/sliders may develop over time when equipment has not been used - even during shipping - this can usually be easily rectified either by use or judicious application of suitable switch-cleaning spray).
